CSMLS Leaders of Tomorrow Grant
CSMLS offers a grant that helps students and new graduates attend LABCON.
A total of six grants are available and consist of the following:
- Free registration for the congress (a $500 value)
- Up to $2,000 to cover travel/accommodation costs
- Deadline to apply is: November 1, 2017

In British Columbia, as a member of HSA, you’ve got access to special funding that can help you develop your skills and advance your career.
The Dr. Phil Reid Bursary Fund was established to provide members with some support for professional development. Each year on the fund is available to support eligible education courses or events.
HSAA offers the Dell Taylor Memorial Education Fund to encourage and support their educational goals.
MAHCP will provide Professional Development awards to qualifying members, who wish to take professional development courses.
The government of Ontario recognizes and values the important contributions made by allied health professionals to the health care system. Designed to ensure that the people of Ontario have access to the right number and mix of health care professionals, this fund is available to Medical Laboratory Technologists for professional development activities.
Two thousand dollars ($2000.00) will be allotted annually for registration at the National Congress. Monies shall be distributed equally to all applicants and is not to exceed the early registration costs of the applicant. Applications must be received no later than thirty (30) days post-LABCON.
NBSMLT LABCON Grant
Every year, the NBSMLT awards committee will honour two deserving NBSMLT registrants a $1,000 grant to attend LABCON. Recipients of the grants are expected to journal and share their experience and newfound knowledge about the lectures they attended at LABCON in the analyzer, and at their workplace.
